Later, the well-known image of an all-seeing eye inside a pyramid became linked to the Illuminati.
From a religious point of view, the Illuminati is often seen as an anti-religious group. In 1785, the ruler of Bavaria, Charles Theodore, banned the Illuminati and ordered the arrest of its members. Although Adam fled to France, the group’s activities stopped. Secret documents from the Illuminati were later made public, but what happened to the group after that is unclear.
Even after the Illuminati was officially shut down, people’s curiosity only grew. In 1798, a writer named John Robison claimed in his book Proofs of a Conspiracy that the Illuminati was involved in the French Revolution. Over time, others argued that the group never truly disappeared but instead continued to work in secret and became even more powerful.
Today, some believe that the Illuminati includes powerful people like bankers, politicians, and media leaders. These individuals are said to control global politics, economies, and the media, to rule all aspects of human life, including religion, society, and even personal freedoms.
